Description
The site manager is a field person and his activities vary greatly depending on the size of the site and the structure of the company. He reports directly to the head of the company or the site manager. He is at the center of all the activities and the execution of the site.
Missions / Responsibilities / Activities
Setting up the site: before work even begins
Verification of forecast budgets
Inspection of the various documents provided to him
Coordination and recruitment of the various stakeholders: client, management, suppliers and subcontractors
Planning the work to be done by each person
Optimization of the organization of the construction site, from the point of view of the environment, safety, quality, profitability and compliance with deadlines
Study of the file and contracts, preparation of the operation, definition of needs, methods, human and material resources, planning of the operation
Preparation of the budget and summary work
Definition of needs with design offices and analysis of study results
Organization of deliveries, storage and installations in cooperation with the site manager
Ensure customer satisfaction
Job Requirements
General knowledge of business and construction site economics
Project management and team management
Integration of safety procedures into construction site operations
Solid management skills to ensure monitoring and financial reporting of site activity (work situations)
Ability to analyze a technical file and propose technical and financial modifications
Mastery of the tools required for measuring and updating specifications (levels, laser meter, etc.) or more broadly for project management (MS Project, etc.)
Knowledge of measurements (surface, volumes, etc.) and mastery of the technical rules relating to the construction of a structure (building, civil engineering, etc.)
Knowledge of the different trades involved on a construction site
Knowledge of standards in terms of quality (ISO 9000), safety and environment (ISO 14001), high environmental quality (HQE)
Authority and availability, the driver being the pivot of the site, the one towards which all the trades converge
Organization and method to prioritize and coordinate the smooth running of the project
Mobility to supervise several construction sites at the same time in different geographical areas
